The Exner Foundation’s Founder and Executive Director is Heidi J. T. Exner. Heidi is earned her Juris Doctor (JD) and Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Calgary, she is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and she is a licenced Private Investigator in the province of Alberta, Canada. She anticipates earning her Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation by 2024, and she is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) candidate. She founded the Exner Foundation in 2020, and fully launched it in 2022.
Our inaugural Board was drawn together over the span of approximately 12 months in 2021-2022 by our Founder. Future selected Directors shall be elected by our Members at our Annual General Meetings in June to serve two-year terms, and they will be eligible for election for an indefinite number of terms. Directors may be released at the end of their elected terms by resigning, or in accordance to our bylaws and procedures. The Exner Foundation follows a fully transparent, policy-driven governance approach.
Our Advisors work in peripheral advisory capacities to our Board and Committees. They bring specific expertise to discussions, where necessary or prudent. These individuals are hand-picked by our Founder and/or our Directors.
